A tasty chewy bar – very simple to prepare.

Honey Date Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup liquid honey
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Combine honey, eggs and vanilla and beat well to blend.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to honey mixture and stir to combine. Stir in dates and nuts.
- Spread in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. until nicely browned and top springs back when touched lightly.
